Zigzag (with different shapes)

In this class you will learn to make these tops, each finished only seventeen straight seams.  In the process you will learn tube piecing, with which you can then make many other projects very efficiently.  (A three- or four-hour class.)

Four-patch

Choose between a small or a large, a scrappy or a non-scrappy look.  For the scrappy look you will learn tube piecing, and for the non-scrappy look you'll do enhanced strip piecing: both methods will forever change how quickly and accurately you make quilts.  A large version requires a long day, smaller non-scrappy versions can be completed in a four-hour class.

Rows of triangles

With tube piecing you can make rows of triangles very fast and accurately.  Half-square triangle rows can be taught in a four-hour class, the thousand pyramid top requires six hours, and the hexagon effect needs a day-long workshop.

A half-square triangle quilt

With tube piecing you can make rows of half-square triangles very fast and accurately.  In a three-hour class you can make a small non-scrappy top, and in a four-hour class you can make a 34-inch by 42.5-inch top as below.

Below are some possible tube piecing classes .  For further options check out the topics in my developing book.

Nine-patch

Choose between a small or a large, a scrappy or a non-scrappy look.  For the scrappy look you will learn tube piecing, and for the non-scrappy look you'll do enhanced strip piecing: both methods will forever change how quickly and accurately you make quilts.  A large version requires a long day or spread into two days, smaller non-scrappy versions can be done in a four-hour class.

Chevron

With tube piecing you can make a quilt top such as this very fast.  The 31 inch by 43 inch top in the  photo below uses 11 different fabrics and was sewn with only 33 seams total.
